Jaramillo became the first high school athlete female or males to be chosen the Racine County Player of the Year in three sports in one school year. As a senior at St. Catherine's High School in 1994, Jaramillo was chosen for the prestigious award in basketball, soccer and tennis. Jaramillo then led the University of New Mexico Lobos to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1998. She left New Mexico as the school?s all-time leading scorer. Jaramillo later played professionally over seas in Finland, Greece and Portugal.
